Case Study
Shopkit E-commerce UI Kit
Overview
Shopkit asked us to design the definitive storefront starter kit for SaaS startups: 120+ screens covering discovery, cart, checkout and account — beautiful out of the box, and easy to re-theme.
Challenge
Template kits usually fail at the seams: cart states that don't match checkout states, empty states nobody designed, mobile layouts that feel ported. Shopkit had to feel like one coherent product, not a pile of pages.
Approach
- Designed flows first, screens second — every template traces a complete buyer journey.
- A token-based theme layer: one file changes brand, spacing and radius everywhere.
- Built the reference implementation alongside the designs, so every component is proven in code.
Outcome
Shopkit launched to strong adoption among early-stage startups, with teams reporting storefront launches in days rather than months. It remains one of our most referenced design-system engagements.
